Greg Sargent over at TPM reports that certain Republican Senators are eyeing support for Senator Jim Webb's troop leave and training measure. Its rumor at the moment, so I thought I would pass along my OTHER favorite rumor while I was at it.
Elvis is an elderly resident of an East Texas rest home, who switched identities with an Elvis impersonator years before his "death", then missed his chance to switch back. Elvis now teams up with Jack, a fellow nursing home resident who thinks that he is actually President John F. Kennedy, and the two valiant old codgers sally forth to battle an evil Egyptian entity who has chosen their long-term care facility as his happy hunting grounds.OK. OK. I can't remember if it's a rumor or the synopsis of a movie plot? Clearly it doesn't matter, because it sure sounds like it could be true.
