Cowards to the Right of Me

The utter illogic of the modern conservative movement finally settles into self-parody. These sad pathetic cowards hide behind computer screens and hope that the abrogation of civil liberties will keep them safe from all the bad things in the world. I always thought conservatives believed in rugged individualism. Cheerleading for fewer civil liberties is essentially lobbying for a government program to protect cowards. A government program for those who fear their own shadow, as it were.

Amazingly, these are the very same people who, in the 1990s, endlessly claimed to distrust government power and even put bumper stickers like this on their cars to prove it:
The modern conservative elite are rife with fetid, rotting cowards. May their tiny shriveled hearts be ripped from their chests and buried in Gitmo.
