With the current downturn in the economy effecting almost every income group in the country, with the possible exception of Bill Gates, I was wandering how it has effected errand and concierge servces? I recall reading this piece in the WaPo a couple of years ago. But this graf got a chuckle out of me:
Pets need constant attention, not just someone to walk them. One of Glass's employees flew a dog to Colorado so it could spend a summer with his family in Aspen, Colo. Other helpers changed the TV channel daily at one client's house; her beagle liked the Animal Planet network, but the client didn't want the dog watching its more troubling animal-rescue shows.
One hopes that poor beagle has not now become a victim of this vicious economic downturn and must watch the horrifying news that even more of his brethren are being neglected!
