Today forward the days will grow longer and soon enough we will have the return of all things green. But not too soon! We need some more snow to help us enjoy the winter. What is winter without snow?

I have tried to take this approach come late December, this "the days are growing longer!" approach. And then I live through January. And then I live through half of February. And then I start to lose my mind. This year, at least, I will recognize it in advance! Eleven years back in the Midwest, and I'm finally beginning to recognize the pattern.
