Justice
Remember this interview. Remember. Remember "ending the partisanship" for what is is. He's saying "I was right."
Fuck Lieberman. Justice should come in 2012. Connecticut? Are you reading? Meting out justice should be the first order of business for the people of Connecticut.

Better Democrats Please
While Democrats revel in shadenfreude after the announcement that the DOJ has indicted Uncle Ted, lets not forget we have some House Cleaning of our own to do. Obviously, Bill Jefferson of Louisiana needs to go and several other Democrats require closer scrutiny.
I thinks its also important to remember that Alcee Hastings (D-FL23) was impeached and removed as a Federal Judge in 1988. Its an embarrassment and cuts into the argument that the Democrats are the party of integrity and good governance. Please, Florida 23rd district! Do your duty and support his opponent in the upcoming August 26th Congressional primary. I don't know much about Ray Torres Sanchez but he appears to be honest and good on many issues. Isn't it time we finally clean our own house?
Alcee Hastings, and the Democrats included on the CREW list at Beyond Delay are an embarrassment to the party and should be voted out.
Are we serious about draining the fetid swamp in Washington? A good start is to vote out the rat-bastard criminals still infesting our party ranks.

Josh: Comedian in Chief
Heh:
We seem to have arrived at an equitable compromise: Sen. Clinton is staying in the nomination race while Sen. Obama drops out to move on to the general.

The Unitary Executive and the Fragmented Legislature
If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever.--George OrwellFrank Rich writes about the fearmongering Imperial President, his consolidation of power, and the cowardly Democrats, afraid of their own shadow and incapable of slowing him down who lack the moral courage to stop his power grab, because they too want maintain their own treacherous hand on the ship of state. The side by side look at Musharraf and Bush is telling.

Hail to the Abrogationist in Chief! (And His Supplicants in the Congress)
The President has the authority to pardon. But the former Cheerleader and his supplicants (Harry Reid, Jay Rockefeller to start with) in Congress have decided to forgo any sense of decency and give the corporate criminals from the major telecons amnesty for being complicit in Government abrogation of the 4th Amendment.
Q: Why do the corporate criminals need this legislation?
A: Because it will keep them from answering any questions in a court of law. In other words, it saves them legal expenses.
Q: But didn't Ford pardon Nixon before he ever went to court?
A: Yes he did. But in this case Bush wants POLITICAL cover so he does not need to provide amnesty for the Corporate criminals.
Can you hear the former Cheerleader now? "Heh heh, you know, well, the CONGRESS said it was OK. So, heh heh, I may be the Decider, but I'm not going to argue with Congress on this one. I mean, you knew, heh heh, they made Me America stronger in the War on Terrorism with this very fine piece of White House preapproved legislation."
Abrogation of our 4th Amendment rights surely must make us stronger, eh? Besides, with the exception of the 2nd Amendment, everything in the Bill of Rights is guidelines. No?

Wish You Weren't Here
One of the criticisms from the Former Cheerleader's dead end supporters is that those who do not support his Monstrosity of a Fuck Up in Iraq is that we "wish for his failure." Why? Because it would suit our political agenda. Please read my lips: No--I do not hope we fail in Iraq. I hope I am wrong about the former Yale Cheerleader and his seeming inability to lead this country. I truly hope I am wrong about how completely, and utterly ineffectual his leadership has proven to be. Lives are at risk. Five of those lives happen to be members of my family. But let us not quibble about minor things like the leadership abilities of a deceptive and delusional individual who believes some Mystical God made him President.
Many Democrats have reasonable plans. (e.g. Joe Biden, Chris Dodd, and Jim Webb) So long as the Former Cheerleader is President we have NO chance of a coherent policy. I have little faith in the Executive Branch's ability to lead us in War Time. What will they do today or tomorrow that will change the course of disaster set in motion five years ago? I have seen no indication that they even understand how completely, and possibly, how irreparably this War has harmed our great nation.
Impeach the Cheerleader. Save the world.

Chuckles
They can still make me laugh. But the truth is this might be as close as the Democrats get to laying a glove on the former cheerleader.

Say what?
Rep. Woolsey jumps the shark. I say we give the Democrats at least another four years in Congress to fuck up the country as much as the R's have.
Besides it should be the Democrats turn to appoint a few Beautiful Minds to the gang in Black Dresses that beat their desks with little wooden mallets. I would like a tie election to go my way every now and again.
