All of Iowa's people are now free to marry the people they love. Congratulations. Some day marriage will just be what people do when they want to spend their lives together. It won't be "gay" or "interracial" or anything else. It will be marriage. It's what adults do when they want to tell the world of their commitment to one another.

Human Dignity
Human dignity wins again.
The [Connecticut] Supreme Court released its historic ruling at 11:30 a.m. Citing the
equal protection clause of the state constitution, the justices ruled that civil
unions were discriminatory and that the state's "understanding of marriage must
yield to a more contemporary appreciation of the rights entitled to
constitutional protection."
Congratulations to all of you in Connecticut now able to have the state recognize your marriages, as marriages, rather than civil unions. Decency and common sense prevailed today.
